The agent handles your WhatsApp and files the whole transaction.
Your number runs on the WhatsApp Business API, Meta’s official platform, and the agent answers there: it checks price and stock in your management system, builds the quote, sends the payment link and leaves the order and the customer record filed. All of it inside the rules Meta sets for the channel, and with a person one click away.

What an AI agent on WhatsApp actually is.
Nine things the agent does without leaving the chat.
These are not canned replies: each one is an operation against a real system, executed while the conversation is still open.
The 24-hour window and templates.
It is the rule that surprises people the most when automating WhatsApp, and the one that decides what can be sent at any given moment. The system tracks it and shows it on screen, instead of letting someone find out through a rejected message.
An enquiry that runs past the 24 hours.
Five steps of an ordinary conversation at a building supplies store. Each one is something the agent does today: the only fictional parts are the names and the numbers.
What the agent sends on its own and what a person signs off.
The full autonomy table is the same on every channel and lives on the AI agents page. What changes on WhatsApp is the TIMING: replying inside the window is not the same as starting a conversation outside it.
What cannot be done on WhatsApp.
Some of these are Meta rules and some are Victoria limits. Both are better known before signing than after the first campaign.
Do we need the official WhatsApp API?
Yes. The agent runs on the WhatsApp Business API, Meta’s official platform: that is what allows the number to be wired to your systems, several numbers and accounts to be handled at once, and approved templates to be used. Victoria AI is a Meta Tech Provider and makes that connection during implementation.
Can it handle more than one WhatsApp number?
Yes. Multiple numbers and multiple accounts are handled from the same place, each with its own 24-hour window tracked by the system and its own templates.
What happens if a customer writes outside business hours?
The agent replies anyway: the channel does not close. What is configured is its schedule and which actions it may execute in each time slot. Anything beyond its scope is handed to the lead owner with the full conversation.
Can a person take over the conversation?
At any time. The agent hands over by itself when the case goes beyond its scope, and a rep can take the chat from the inbox: the AI stays muted in that conversation and the person continues with the whole history in view.
What if Meta does not approve a template?
It is corrected and submitted again from the CRM. Until it is approved it cannot be used in a send, and the system shows the state of each one so nobody picks it by mistake.
Is this what I use to send campaigns?
They are two different things. The agent is the one-to-one conversation; a broadcast is a bulk send with an approved template, an audience built with CRM filters and metrics for delivered, read and failed. Both use the same number, and broadcasts are explained on the bulk messaging page.
Where to go next.
Let’s connect a number in the demo.
In a 30-minute meeting we review which systems you have, connect a test number and you watch a real WhatsApp message land in the customer thread.
